By older people for older people

BELIA supports older people in recognising their wishes and needs and in shaping their lives self-determinedly according to their own ideas for as long as possible.

BELIA arose from the question of what is truly important to people in old age and what they need to be able to live as independently and self-determinedly as possible for as long as possible. A group of seniors from the Bern region explored this in depth and jointly developed a comprehensive catalogue of needs. Seniors from Graubünden as well as professionals from the elderly care sector contributed their experiences and perspectives to complement the work.

Thus the foundation of BELIA was created. Today, BELIA combines these wishes and needs with suitable offers, activities and services throughout Switzerland.

BELIA is being further developed

BELIA is continuously improved. The aim is to make the search for suitable offers simpler and more understandable.
